The new Memory and Resource analysis tools in SAP HANA

As of SAP HANA SPS07 there are two new monitoring tools available for memory and resource analysis.

• The Memory Overview view
• The Resource Utilization view

Needed authorization
To be able to use these tools the system administrator needs the authorization role: sap.hana.admin.roles::Monitoring

How to start the analysis tools
Select the SAP HANA system that you want to analyze and right click to open the context menu.

The Memory Overview view
In the Memory Overview view you can see details on the used Physical Memory, Used SAP HANA Memory, memory used by tables ans the memory used by Database Management.

The Resource Utilization view
In the Resource Utilization view you can see details on used CPU, Memory and Data. These measurements can be combined in a graph to see the usage over a selected time period.
