Post by Hay Bouten »

In your SAP Solution Manager you can use the DBA Cockpit to administer the SAP HANA Database.

As a prerequisite the HANA client software needs to be installed on your Solution Manager. Follow SAP Note 1597627 (smp login required) - SAP HANA connection to install the HANA client software and to setup the <sid>adm environment.

Start transaction DBACOCKPIT and click the Add button in the System Configuration area.

The DBACOCKPIT for SAP HANA gives you advanced features to monitor and administer the database. In DBACOCKPIT you can
  • change the database configuration files
  • schedule daily HANA Database backups
  • monitor database performance
  • view log and trace files
